Due perhaps to its prefix "aroma", a popular perception is that aromatherapy has resulted in dissemination of pleasant smells just for fun... Now the suffix "therapy" indicates that this is an approach to care - quite complex, actually - with aromatic essences of plants are the base. The name that has become common usage to speak of aromatic essences is essential oils. As its name would indicate, the essential oils contain no fats such as vegetable oils obtained presses (sunflower oil, corn, sweet almond, etc...). This is the natural secretion produced by the plant and contained in the plant cells, either in the calyx, stem, bark or other plant part. The essential oil is obtained by distillation of the plant still. According oil desired, we will take all or part of a specific plant for extracted the quintessence, the biochemical structure to capture for medical or hygienic.
